Waterjet Line
The Founding of MAXIEM
"Through years of marketing the OMAX line of JetMachining® Centers, we recognized the strong demand for a line of basic abrasive waterjet equipment," said Dr. John Cheung, CEO of OMAX. "With the new MAXIEM line, we meet this demand, as well as the varying performance needs required by the global community. These varying needs and requirements coupled with the current economic situation make this a most opportune time to introduce this type of machine."
The MAXIEM Waterjet line fills this need by making abrasive waterjet cutting affordable for manufacturers who desire speed, flexibility, and efficiency in waterjet technology. For those who just want the basics of this proven cutting technology, adding a MAXIEM Waterjet machine to your shop introduces new machining solutions once considered financially out of reach.
The MAXIEM is ideal for shops that are currently subcontracting their cutting or making parts by other processes that require subsequent operations to achieve the same high precision and surface quality of a waterjet. Equipped with easy-to-use software, Intelli-MAX Basic, the new MAXIEM Waterjet line brings the advantages of abrasive waterjet technology to a much more accessible level.
OMAX’s continued investment in R&D allowed engineers to pioneer the first cost-effective Intelli-TRAX™ traction drive system, designed to offer superior performance in an abrasive waterjet cutting environment. Now this innovative mechanism is fully integrated in every MAXIEM Waterjet machine.
"To meet the needs of that market segment, we have built off OMAX’s R&D to develop the MAXIEM brand, a highly productive, entry-level line of abrasive waterjets," said Dr. John Olsen, co-founder and vice president of operations at OMAX. "With the economic hardships manufacturers face in today’s economy, we felt it was our obligation to make the cost benefits of waterjet technology available to as broad a base as possible."
OMAX’s strong financial position will allow continued innovation in our flagship line of abrasive systems, while also rolling out and supporting MAXIEM. Due to differing specifications, MAXIEM does not compete with current OMAX offerings, and is designed instead to broaden the market for waterjet. Through its two brands, OMAX will become the industry leader in providing waterjet solutions for customers of all types. |
