  • A brief overview of the MAXIEM equipment
  • Terminology used in the waterjet process
  • How the machine works to cut a part
  • The steps in making a part on the MAXIEM equipment
  • How to get started with using the software
  • Where to find and how to use the help files
  • Best practices in tool pathing
  • A review of the equipment start-up and shut-down procedures

The online training is scheduled based on availability of the participants and the technical trainer.

3-day Operational & Maintenance Training

The training program is designed to lead you step by step through the process of making parts—from drawing to cutting. It gives you practical, hands-on experience in how to maintain your equipment following best practices that have been tried and true in the lab and in the field. OMAX provides you the information, practice, and resources to assist you in effectively operating and maintaining your equipment, and with tools to assist in communicating with MAXIEM on ordering parts or working with Customer Service.

Training courses are offered every other month at the OMAX headquarters facility in Kent, Washington, located in close proximity to Seattle Tacoma airport. Additional customer training classes may be offered based on customer demand. Each course is facilitated by an OMAX Technical Trainer using OMAX and/or MAXIEM equipment and software. 2012 MAXIEM training calendar.

Training Facilities

MAXIEM training is conducted in state of the art machine and software training labs, using actual equipment and software. The training is "hands-on" giving users real-life experience they will be able to apply in their shop.

Training Materials

In addition to the hands-on training, MAXIEM training materials contain detailed step-by-step instructions for performing tasks related to operation and maintenance of the MAXIEM waterjet. Designed to be used "on demand" when you need them, these instructional materials provide you information to be self-sufficient in operating and maintaining your equipment. Operators who have used these materials say they are some of the best written materials they've seen in the machine tool industry!
